MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE ~ETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> January 9, 1979 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> }~yor Kenneth Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br />at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. <br />Mr. Brown, City Manager, Mr. Levine City Attorney, and Mr. Harris, Director of <br />Planning and Community Development, were present. <br /> <br />AGENDAAMENDMENTS <br /> Mr. Brown advised there would be an Executive Session at the conclusion of <br />this meeting to discuss litigation. <br /> <br /> ~yor Mercer requested that an item be added to the Consent Calendar, as <br />item 4e - proclaiming the week of January 15, 1979, as John Madden Week in <br />Pleasanton, in honor of the recently retired Oakland Raider coach. Council <br />concurred. <br /> <br />CONSE~£ CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be <br />approved: <br /> <br /> a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 12-13-78, 12-19-78, and 12-21-78. <br /> <br />b. Adoption of Resolution No. 79-1, accepting Project No. 78-8, Peters Avenue <br /> Water Line and Sewer Line, approving final payment to Raymond J. Haug <br /> Excavating, in the amount of $32,274.09, and authorizing filing of the <br /> Notice of Completion. <br /> <br /> c. Adoption of Resolution No. 79-2, accepting Project No. 78-3, Central Busi- <br /> ness District Storm Drainage Outfall, approving final payment to Mountain <br /> Construction, Inc., in the amount of $11,008.80, and authorizing filing of <br /> the Notice of Completion. <br /> <br /> d. Adoption of Resolution No. 79-3, approving the Right-of-Way Contract and <br /> acceptance of Grant Deed for purchase of Vizzolini Property for Peters <br /> Avenue and placing the agreed-upon purchase price in escrow. <br /> <br /> e. Proclaim the week of January 15, 1979, as JohnMadden Week in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> <br />
