Mr. William Kovac, 3124 Weymouth Court, stated he felt there was a need for <br />this type of regulation and that it should be enforced to prevent recreation <br />vehicles from being improperly parked. <br /> <br /> After considerable discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and <br />seconded by Mayor Brandes, to accept and implement the report of the Citizens Com- <br />mittee regarding handling vehicle parking complaints, to be done by City staff, and <br />directing the City Attorney to review the draft ordinances previously submitted and <br />to add junk and abandoned vehicles to the ordinance, and bring this back to Council <br />for review and discussion. <br />The roll call vote was .as. follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes asked how much time Council had to decide if they wanted this <br />item on the April Ballot. No Council action was required or taken on this <br />item. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER (Contd.) <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Walker presented his memorandum dated October 4, 1979, regarding the expira- <br />tion date of two Commissioners on the Human Services Commission. After discussion, <br />it was moved by Mayor Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, to uphold the <br />Council policy regarding commissioner vacancies, and advertise for these positions <br />which would allow any qualified person to apply, and encouraging the present com- <br />missioners to reapply for these vacancies. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker presented his Information Report dated September 28, 1979, informing <br />the Council of the 1979 Junior Womens' Pumpkin Run to be held Sunday morning, <br />October 14, 1979. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker presented the City Council agenda Planning Report for October, <br />November, and December. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker presented his Information Report dated October 4, 1979, regarding <br />the Zone 7 Water Rate Increase.
