He also inquired if the Park and Recreation <br />Commission had reviewed the report relative to the park site changes. Mr. Harris <br />advised he did not know if the School District had reviewed this report but they <br />were aware of the proposed changes. He stated that the Park and Recreation Commis- <br />sion had discussed the park issue at the time they reviewed the Art Dunkley general <br />plan amendment. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes stated the School District has had many discussions on school <br />sites and they have no intention and have declared so that they do not intend to <br />build a school in the Del Prado area. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing open on the application and the <br />negative declaration. <br /> <br /> The Engineer representing Ponderosa Homes, stated this firm had a letter on <br />file from the School District acknowledging that the school site was no longer <br />needed. He stated his client had reviewed and concurred with the staff report. <br /> <br /> The following persons spoke in opposition to this application: <br /> <br /> Mrs. Judy Fox, 2645 Virgin Island Court, regarding type of project and exite <br />out of Valley Trails Drive onto Hopyard Road. <br /> <br /> Mr. Charles Oakley, 6368 Calle Altamira, regarding change of location and <br />size of park areas. <br /> <br /> Mr. Lowell Beasley, 3673 Cambridge Court, regarding elimination of two school <br />sites, and he felt an Environmental Impact Report should be required. <br /> <br /> Mr. Bob Weber, 7235 Valley Trails Drive, expressed concern regarding location <br />of high density portion of the project and stated he felt it should be located in <br />the center of the development. <br /> <br /> Mr. Averill Mix, 1631 Willow Street, San Jose, Attorney representing the pro- <br />perty owners, read a letter from the property owners, Howard Hansen and Ann Marie <br />Mix, dated August 17, 1979, to Robert Harris, Director of Planning, as follows: <br />"Please be advised that we, the undersigned owners of 'The Hansen Ranch', have <br />given AE Realty Partners, dba Ponderosa Homes, an option to purchase our property. <br />Our ownership and Ponderosa's option include all of the property contained in the <br />proposed General PlanAmendment 'GP79-9'. <br /> <br /> 6. 8/28/79 <br /> <br /> <br />
