McManus to rezone a 5-acre parcel of land located imme- <br />diately westerly of the terminus of Sutter Gate Avenue and southerly of the Arroyo <br />Mocho Canal from the "A" (Agricultural) District to the R-1-7500 (sinSle-F.ami~y <br />Residential) District or to any other zoning district consistent with the General <br />Plan <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated June 29, 1979, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> ~yor Brandes declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr. Peter Turner, Attorney representing Thomas K. Mc~nus, stated that Mr. <br />McManus and the potential developer, Crocker Homes, were agreeable to conditions <br />attached to the Droject. <br /> <br /> Mr. I~rvey Kameny, 2426 Crestline Road, representing Crocker Homes, presented <br />a development map of the five acre parcel, and addressed concerns regarding <br />arrangement to keep traffic from flowing onto Sutter Gate Court. <br /> <br /> Mr. Doug Bennington, 4957 Mohr Avenue, stated he was opposed to the fire access <br />road. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Brandes declared the public hearing , <br />closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Ordinance No. 896, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, <br />to rezone a 5-acre parcel of land located immediately westerly of the terminus of <br />Sutter Gate Avenue and southerly of the Arroyo MochoCanal from the "A" (Agricul- <br />tural) District to the R-1-7500 (Single-Family Residential) District, and amending <br />the Zoning ~p of the City of Pleasanton accordingly, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Mercer <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes commended the developer, homeowners, and staff for their concerns, <br />cooperation and solution to the matters of concern regarding this project. <br /> <br />Application of Ponderosa Homes for an amendment to the Land Use Element of the <br />General Plan whic~ would comprehensively ~hanSe the land use desiSnations on a <br />240-acre site located between 1-680 and Hopyard Road north and west of the exist- <br />ing development along t~nsen Drive and Via .Quito. The changes would remove the <br />planned school sites and rearrange.t~ proposed locations of parks, h.~gh density <br />residential, and medium dens.i,tX residential development on the site.
