Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on this item. Mr. Marvin Smith, 1818 Halcyon Court, representing Valley Community Church, requested City Council approval of this application. No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed. It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that Ordinance No. 952, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, approving the application of Valley Community Church to fezone the approximately 2.3 acre site located on the north and west of their proposed church site at the northeast end of Del Valle Parkway approximately 200 feet east of Harvest Road from "Public and Institutional" to "Planned Unit Development-Medium Density Resi- dential" District and amending the Zoning Map of the City of Pleasanton accordingly, be introduced. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer NOES: None ABSENT: None Application of the Southern Pacific Railroad for a ~eneral plan amendment which would change the land use designation of an approximately 0.8i acre parcel bounded b~ Abbie · ~treet~ Fi~.st .~.tree.t~ A~ela Street and the SPRR right-of-way from "Open Space-Parks and Recreation" to "Commercial and Offices".
