f. Adoption of Resolution No. 80-271, awarding contract for Assessment District No. <br /> 1974-4, Stoneridge Drive Soundwall to Sierra Precast, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $118,321.07, and authorizing the appropriate City officials to execute the <br /> agreement. <br /> <br />g. By motion, Council directed staff to proceed with a post card survey for both <br /> owners and tenants relative to a parking study of Division Street from Pleasan- <br /> ton Avenue to Del Valle Parkway. <br /> <br />h. Adoption of Resolution No. 80-272, accepting 10 ft. wide sanitary sewer easement <br /> from Amador Valley Investment Company for the purpose of constructing a sanitary <br /> sewer line in Tract 3148, Fairlands, Unit 8. <br /> <br /> i. Adoption of Resolution No. 80-273, authorizing the City of Pleasanton to partici- <br /> pate in the State abandoned vehicle abatement program and to execute a contract <br /> with the Department of the California Highway Patrol regarding participation in <br /> the program. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood, and ~yor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Kephart <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIl{EMBERS <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that <br />Resolution No. 80-274, commending the Foothill High School Falcon Band, its Director <br />Mr. Robert Moorefield, its 1980 Drum Major Chris Cromwell, and the Foothill Band <br />Boosters and their 1980 President Mrs. Ruth Cromwell, and 1980 Band Review and Field <br />Competition Director Mr. Walter Bolling, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />A~SENT: Councilmember Kephart <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood requested that a traffic check be conducted at Mohr Avenue <br /> and Santa Rita Road to ascertain if a Stop sign is warranted at this intersection. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr stated that with regard to the proposed quarry project on the <br />Moller property on Foothill Road she felt the City should have input into the En- <br />vironmental Impact. Report. Mr. Swift advised this property is in the County and they <br />are not required to ask for City input. Councilmember ~ohr instructed staff to re- <br />quest a copy of the draft Environmental Impact Report relative to the proposed quarry <br />project on Foothill Road and to advise the County that the City would like to be in- <br />cluded in the EIR process. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr stated that with regard to item 8b on the agenda - the appeal <br /> of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ziegler of a decision of the Board of Adjustment in denying <br /> their application for the construction of a room addition that would encroach into <br /> the required rear yard at their residence; that the Board of Adjustment approved a <br /> similar application for Mr. and Mrs. Robert Vaughn at a Special l{eeting on October <br /> 14, 1980, which she did not feel was fair. After discussion, it was moved by <br /> Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that the City Council <br /> appeal the decision of the Board of Adjustment in approving the application of Mr. <br /> and Mrs. Robert Vaughn for a variance to Section 2-5.35 of Article 3, Chapter 2, <br /> Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton to allow the construction <br /> <br /> 2. 10/28/80 <br /> <br /> <br />
