255 <br /> <br /> MI1~JTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> TIlE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> October 14, 1980 <br /> <br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Kenneth Mercer called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at <br /> 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br /> Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer were present. Mr. <br /> Walker, City Manager, Mr. Levine, City Attorney, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning <br /> and Community Development, and Mr. Warnick, Director of Public Works and Utilities, <br /> were present. <br /> <br /> AGENDA A~h~MENTS <br /> Mr. Walker requested that the following amendments be made to the agenda: <br /> <br /> Continue item 8e - Appeal of a decision of the Planning Commission denying the <br /> application of Mildred R. Vallarino to rezone the 4.4 acre <br /> site located at 3897, 3887, 3889 Vineyard Avenue from the <br /> RM-4000 (Residential 10 units per acre) District to the RM- <br /> 1500 (Residential 29 units per acre) District, and accompany- <br /> ing Negative Declaration; to the meeting of November 17, 1980. <br /> <br />Continue item 13a - Modification to Noise Ordinance, and Adoption of Ordinance <br /> No. 946, amending Title IV by adding Chapter 9 (Noise Regula- <br /> tion) and amending Title I, Chapter 1, Section 1-1.15 making <br /> violations of each chapter an infraction; to the meeting of <br /> ~ovember 17, 1980. <br /> <br />Continue item 13b - Regulation of Political and Certain Temporary Signs; to the <br /> meeting of October 28, 1980. <br /> <br />Continue' item 13e - Further Report on Low Cost Housing Exemptions from RAP and <br /> Density Bonus Legislation; to the meeting of October 28, 1980. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised there would be an Executive Session at the conclusion of <br />this meeting to discuss labor relations and pending litigation. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, that <br />the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 9-16-80, 9-23-80, and 9-29-80. <br /> <br />b. Adoption of Ordinance No. 943, amending Section 5-6.05, Article 2, Chapter 6 <br /> (Decrease in State Speed Limit in Certain Zones), Title V (Vehicle and Traffic, <br /> Streets and qighways), of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton relating <br /> to speed limits, lowering the speed limit on Stanley Boulevard from 45 MPH to <br /> 40 MPH. <br /> <br /> <br />
