Approval of Plans and Specifications for Soundwall on.Stoneridge Drive~ Assessment
District No. 1974-4
Mr. Schaumburg presented his report dated August 7, 1980, regarding this matter.

Mrs. Mary Mallery, 4775 Corwin Court, stated the proposed soundwall stops two
houses before it reaches her residence. She requested Council to consider extend-
ing the soundwall to the end of Stoneridge Drive so that her home would be protected
by this soundwall.

Mr. Dick Braden, Engineer, explained the reasons for the length of the fence,
stating that noise levels beyond where the fence stops are below the minimum deci-
bels of adverse noise impact. PrOcessing General Plan Amendments
Mr. Harris presented his report dated July 30, 1980, regarding this matter.

It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that
the project to continue the McManus property access road eastward and connect it
to Sutter Gate Drive, be taken off the list of projects requiring an Environmental
Impact Report and remove from the 42 recommended amendments to the General Plan by
the Land Use/Circulation Review Committee.
The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer
NOES: None
ABSENT: None

It was moved by Mayor Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that an
Environmental Impact Report be required to change all multi-family residential
zoned property in the area between Pleasanton Avenue, Rose Avenue, Fair Street,
and Division Street from Medium Density Residential to High Density Residential,
instead of a Negative Declaration.

12. 8/12/80
