The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Kephart <br /> <br />Black Avenue and Hamsen Drive Traffic. Study <br /> ~yor Mercer requested this item be continued to the meeting of July 22, 1980, <br />for full Council attendance. Council concurred. <br />Referral from Alameda County, Rezoning' on Vineyard Avenue <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated July 1, 1980, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, <br />instructing staff to notify the Alameda County Planning Commission that zoning <br />case, Zoning Unit 1452, which involves a 7.85 acre parcel located on the south <br />side of Vineyard Avenue approx4~tely one-half mile easterly of the Pleasanton <br />City boundary, is in conformance to the General Plan, therefore, Council has no <br />opposition to the proposed rezoning. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Kephart <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Walker presented the Minutes from the Staff Traffic Committee meeting of <br />June 18, 1980. <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker presented the City Council agenda planning report for July, August, <br />and September. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer asked when the Land Use/Circulation Review report would be completed. <br />Mr. Harris advised that he expected to have this report ready for the July 22 agenda. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Gravel Truck Covers <br /> Mr. Levine presented his report dated July 2, 1980, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding some form of enforcement relative to over- <br />load of gravel trucks. <br /> <br /> Mr. Norman Houghton, 4064 Cristobal Way, thanked the City Attorney's office <br />for their follow-up on this question. He requested that Council support'AB-127 <br />(Lockyer) relative to this matter. He also suggested that the City send letters to <br />the gravel companies requesting their cooperation in requiring gravel truck covers <br />as a gesture of goodwill to the City. Mr. Houghton expressed appreciation to the <br />Council for their interest in this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer instructed staff to send a letter in support of AB-127 (Lockyer), <br />and also to send letters to the gravel companies requesting them to require covers <br />for their gravel trucks. Councilmember Mohr suggested this letter also be sent to <br />the Teamsters, to cover trucks not owned by the gravel companies. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer requested a report be prepared by the City Attorney regarding <br />additional information relative to police enforcement and a scale program on the <br />overloading of gravel trucks. <br /> <br /> 6. 7/8/80 <br /> <br /> <br />
