Mayor Mercer reported on the Park and Recreation Commission meeting advising <br /> that they will report back on recommendations relative to the Youth Sports Park and <br /> Little League field improvements as well as Mission Hills Park and Vintage Hills <br /> Park plans. Mayor Mercer advised that the Park and Recreation Commission discussed <br /> the possible increase in number of commissioners and they felt that five members <br /> was adequate but that it might be feasible to have alternate members. Mayor Mercer <br /> requested the City Attorney to report back on this matter. <br /> <br /> MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Frank C. Brandes, Jr., 6889 Corte Sonada, advised Council that representa- <br /> tives from Livermore's Sister City in Japan would be arriving later this month. He <br /> invited Councilmembers to attend various activities honoring this group and requested <br /> that a token of the City of Pleasanton be presented at a dinner to be held on July <br /> 28, 1980, at the Pleasanton Hotel. Mr. Brandes also encouraged Councilmembers to <br /> participate in upcoming fund raising events to defray the cost of hosting these <br /> Japanese people. <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> There were no Public Hearings presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br /> Adoption of Ordinance No. 936~ regulating Condominium Conversions in the City of <br /> Pleasanton (Intro. 5-27-80, 5-Ayes) <br /> (Contd. from 6-24-80) <br /> Mayor Mercer declared this item continued to the meeting of August 12, 1980, <br /> for full Council attendance. <br /> <br /> ~doption of Ordinance No. 937, approving the application pf Joseph Madden to fezone <br /> a 2 acre si.te located at 3851 Vineyard Avenue from the RM-1500..(Multi.ple-Residential) <br /> District to the PUD-Residential ~anned Unit. Development-Residential) District and <br /> for developmentplan approv~. for a 48-unit condomtnium complex to be located behind <br /> the existing duple~ on the site, subject to qonditions, and. amending. the Zoning Map <br /> of the City of Pleasanton accordingl7 . . <br /> (Intro. 6-24~80, 4-Ayes, 1-Absent) <br /> }~yor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 937 was introduced on June 24, 1980, be a <br /> vote of 4-Ayes, 1-Absent, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br /> Ordinance No. 93~, approving the application of JosephMadden to fezone a 2 acre site <br /> located at 3851 Vineyard Avenue from the RM-1500 (Multiple-Residential) District to <br /> the PUD-Residential (Planned Unit Development-Residential) District and for develop- <br /> ment plan approval for a 48-unit condeminium complex to be located behind the exist- <br /> ing duplex on the site, subject to conditions, and amending the Zoning Map of the <br /> City of Pleasanton accordingly, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilmember Kephart <br /> <br />· SPECI~i REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> There were no reports of Boards and Commissions presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> 4. 7/8/80 <br /> <br /> <br />
