Parkin~ ohMdin Street from Angela Street to the Southern Pacific Railroad Right- <br />of-way <br /> Mr. Campbell presented his report dated February 28, 1980, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Bob Graham, 503 San Gabriel, representing businesses in the downtown as well <br />as the Downtown Association, stated these groups felt a definite need for a one hour <br />parking limitation on the'South end of Main Street, and also the need for strong <br />enforcement of this parking regulation. He suggested a meter maid be hired for this <br />purpose. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Council- <br />member Mercer, that Resolution No. 80-60, amending Resolution No. 76-79 (establish- <br />ing traffic regulations for City streets) by adding subsection 10m-3 and 10m-4 re- <br />lating to one hour parking zones on Main Street as follows: <br /> <br /> 10m-3Main Street, on the west side of Main Street from West Angela to the Southern Pacific Right-of-Way <br /> <br /> 10m-4Main Stre.~, on the east side of Main Street from West Angela to the Southern Pacific Right-of-Way <br /> <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Truck Parking on Johnson Drive <br /> Mr. Campbell presented his report dated March 4, 1980, regarding thiS~!matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes stated hew as mainly concerned about overnight and weekend parking <br />in this area. He stated he was also concerned about stricter enforcement by the <br />Police Department. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Kephart stated he had noticed several truck trailers dropped <br />down on pins and advised this could be very damaging to the streets. <br /> <br /> After discussion, Council instructed staff to report back at the next meeting <br />relative to prohibiting overnight and weekend parking of trucks on Johnson Drive. <br /> <br /> The City Attorney advised he would also look into the matter of truck trailers <br />being dropped, and possible control of this problem.. <br /> <br />Consideration of County Conditions on Annexation No. 77 - Pestand <br /> Mr. Campbell presented his report dated March 6, 1980, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr~ Ted Fairfield, Consulting Civil Engineer, representing Mr. Pestand, stated <br />he concurred with the staff report, and that final approval for annexation would <br />occur later. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer~ and seconded by Councilmember Butler, <br />that Resolution No. 80-61, approving the report of the DireCtor of Public Works <br />and Utilities (SR 80:57) dated March 6, 1980, and authorizing staff to communicate <br />to the Local Agency Formation Commission the City Council's objection to including <br />Happy Valley Road in Annexation No. 77 - Pestand, be adopted. <br /> <br /> <br />
