REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> Opinion Regarding Banning the Sale of all Paraphernalia related to the use of Drugs <br /> within the City of Pleasanton <br /> Mr. Levine recommended this item be continued until further review of Assemblyman <br /> Mori's AB-2442 relative to this matter. Council concurred. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Kephart recommended that the City Attorney attend the Conference <br /> in Southern California being sponsored by the City of Lakewood on March 10, 1980, <br /> regarding the sale of drug paraphernalia. Council concurred. <br /> <br /> Denial of Claim - Elizabeth TaylOr <br /> Mr. Levine.presented his report dated February 21, 1980, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that <br /> Resolution No. 80-46, denying the claim against the City for alleged damages to the <br /> automobile owned by Ms. Elizabeth Ann Taylor as the result of an incident on January <br /> 6, 1980, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> COMMUNICATIONS <br /> Mr. Walker presented the resignation of George Reineking as Kottinger represen- <br /> tative on the Pleasanton Housing Authority Board. Council instructed staff to <br /> advertise among the Kotttnger residents for a replacement to fill this vacancy. <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR <br /> Mr. Walker presented the Calendar for the information of the Council. <br /> <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Brandes recessed the meeting at 12:15 A.M., to an Executive Session to <br /> discuss litigation and personnel. <br /> <br /> Mayor Brandes reconvened the meeting at 1:30 A.M. <br /> <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 1:35 A.M., it was moved by Councilmember <br /> Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Kephart, that the meeting be continued to meet <br /> again in Regular Session on February 29, 1980, 6:00 P.M., at the City Hall Conference <br /> Room. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />9~S R.
