MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> January 22, 1980 <br /> <br /> !>:TERV!~S FOR HOUSING AUTHORITY BOARD M~-~BER <br /> Mayor Brandes and members of the Council met at 7:30 P.M., to interview the <br /> following candidates for consideration as members of the Pleasanton Housing <br /> Authority Board: <br /> <br /> Ednond Alves <br /> Y. A. Davis <br /> Donna Graves <br /> <br /> PRESENTATION BY CAMP FIRE GIRLS <br /> Mrs. Stella Gatto and members of the Camp F~re Girls presented Mayor Brandes <br /> with a box of candy to promote the Camp Fire Girls Candy fund raising project. <br /> <br /> CALL TO OFDER - PLEDGE TO THE FLAG <br /> Mayor Frank Brandes, Jr., called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to <br /> order at 8:10 P.I.I., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Brandes were present. Mr. <br />Brown, City Manager, Mr. Walker, Assistant City Manager, Mr. Levine, City Attorney, <br />Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works and Utilities, Mr. Harris, Director of Plan- <br />ning and Community Development, and Mr. Swift, Assistant Planner, were present. <br /> <br />AGE~DA ~,~E~MENTS <br /> Mr. Brown requested that the following amendments be made to the agenda: <br /> <br /> Remove item 9b - Agreement with Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council, and continue <br /> indefinitely. <br /> <br /> Remove item 12c - Annexation of Property on Foothill Road, and continue indefin- <br /> itely. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown advised there would be an Executive Session at the conclusion of this <br />meeting to discuss personnel and litigation. <br /> <br /> ..Mayor Brandes requested that item 12a - Extension of Time Limits: City-Willow <br />West Agreement, be moved to the Consent Calendar as item 4h. Council concurred. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Kephart, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that <br />the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: <br /> <br />a. Approval of City Council Minutes for January 8, 1980. <br /> <br />b. Adoption of Resolution No. 80-17, approving Claims for the month of December, <br /> 1979, in the amount of $331,117.13. <br /> <br /> <br />
