Mitchell, Assistant Director of the Alameda County Office of Emergency Ser- <br /> vices, to acquire on Pleasanton's behalf federal surplus property available <br /> through the California State Agency for Surplus Property. <br /> <br />I. Adoption of Resolution No. 81-160, authorizing the CityManager and the Assistant <br /> Director of Alameda County's Office of Emergency Services to execute for and on <br /> behalf of the City of Pleasanton applications and documents necessary to obtain <br /> federal financial assistance under the Federal Civil Defense Act of 1950 as <br /> amended. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br />Presentation bX John Clatworthy~ Pleasanton's Representative to the Alameda County <br />Library Committee <br /> Mayor Mercer declared this item continued to the meeting of June 9, 1981. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Assembly Bill 893 (Roos) would create a California <br />Communities Commission which would have jurisdiction in some circumstances over <br />design and zoning matters and take authority away from cities. He requested a <br />staff report be prepared regarding this matter for presentation at the next <br />Council meeting. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer requested the City Attorney to prepare a report regarding a new <br />bill relative to trucks that would receive points everytime there is an infraction <br />against a license number.'
