Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application and the Negative Declaration. Mr. Lynn Bowers, Sunol, concurred with Planning Commission and staff recommenda- tions for approval, and urged Council to do likewise. No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed on the application and the Negative Declaration. It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that Resolution No. 81-77, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as outlined in the City's guidelines and that a Negative Declaration is appropriate to prezone an approximately 43 acre parcel located 830 feet south of the existing City Limit Line between Foothill Road and 1-680 to PUD-Low Density Residential, be adopted.
