,[ 351 <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Bob Foster, 6028 Sequoia Court, Pleasanton, member of the Murray Elementary <br /> School District Board, stated this area needs increased BART bus service or some <br /> other type of transportation. He requested Council to pursue with MTC the feasibi- <br /> lity of a study in order to receive grant funds for added service. Staff advised <br />Mr. Foster this had already been done and were advised that funds are limited. Mayor <br />Mercer suggested that Mr. Foster contact Bob Allen, the Valley's representative on <br />the BART Board, regarding increased BART feeder bus services and/or establishing <br />additional bus stops for added service. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />Application for development plan approval for a Hillside Planned Development for the <br />approximately 48 acre site located on the west side of Foothill Road~ approx.imately <br />300 feet north of Bernal Avenue for a 24-1ott. 35t000 sq. ft. minimum ~ot size, Single- <br />family residential development. The. property is zoned HPD (Hillside Planned Develop- <br />ment) District <br /> <br />On the basis of an Initial. Study of the potential environmental impacts of the pro- <br />3ect, the Director of Planning and Community Deyelopment has determined that the <br />proposed project.would not have. any poten~ia.1 .significant .adverse.effects. on the., <br />environment and that an environmental impact report need not be prppared. Johnson to fezone from the R-1-6500 (Single-Family Resi- <br />dential) District to the PUD (Planned Unit Development-Medium Density Residential) <br />District an approximately 10 acre site located on the south side 0f Vineyard Avenue <br />approximately 120 feet west of Pico Avenue <br />(Contd. from 2-10-81) <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 81:53) dated February 18, 1981, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jack Bras, Architect representing the applicant, stated that at the last <br />City Council meeting Mr. Lydiksen and Mr. Walter had questions regarding the proposed <br />plan. Mr. Bras advised that he had met with Mr. Walter and Mr. Green, and had talked <br />to Mr. Lydiksen on the phone, and that all were now in agreement with the development <br />plan. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Council- <br />member Kephart, that Ordinance No. 966, to be read by title only and waiving further <br />reading thereof, approving the application of Dorothy N. Johnson to rezone from the <br />R-1-6500 (Single-Family Residential) District to the PUD (Planned Unit Development- <br />Medium Density Residential) District an approximately 10 acre site located on the <br />south side of Vineyard Avenue approximately 120 feet west of Pico Avenue, subject to <br />conditions established in Planning Commission Resolution No. 1934, and adding the <br />following conditions: (1) that the emergency access way shall be between Lots 14 and <br />15 and shall be a minimum of 12 feet in width, but perhaps as wide as 15 feet, the <br />final width shall be determined by the Fire Chief; (2) that the front yard setbacks <br />for all houses on Rowell Lane shall be a minimum of 23 feet, and exterior side set- <br />backs for all houses on that street be a minimum of 15 feet; and (3) that the right- <br />of-way of Rowell Lane shall be a minimum of 46 feet with minimum curb-to-curb dimen- <br /> <br /> 4. 2/24/81' <br /> <br /> <br />
