Mr. Harris stated that. the Planning Commission had recently initiated a general <br />plan amendment on the property on the west side of Martin Avenue between Mohr Avenue <br />and the Arroyo Mocho to change the general plan designation of that land from Medium <br />to Low Density Residential. This matter will be heard by the Planning Commission on <br />December 9, 1981, and could go to the City Council as early as December 22, 1981. <br /> <br /> After discussion, Council took no action on this item, and will reconsider it <br />again after Planning Commission review and recommendation of the General Plan amend- <br />ment. <br /> <br />Application of Frank Auf der Maur et al to fezone an a.pproximately 73 acre site <br />located between Stanley. Boulevard on the'north and the Arroyo del Valle on the <br />south from the interse~.t~on of St~nl.ey Boulevard and California Street to a point <br />approx~m~tel~ 2000 feet east o~ .that ~ters~ction to the Planned Unit Development- <br />Commercial District ..9.E ~ny other zp_n~gdistrict consistent with the General Plan.. <br />~he propertX is currently zoned C-S (Commercial Service). District <br /> <br />On the basis o~ an Initial Study. Of the potential env~ro...r~mental impacts. ofI~h~ <br />pr0J~c~ the Director of Planning and Communi~.Deve!opment has determined that <br />the proposed .pro~.~ct~uld not haye ~ny potential significant adverse effects on <br />th~ environment and that an environmental impact .~eport need not be prepared. <br />This Initial Study is available for review at the PlanninE Divisi0n~ 200 Berna! . <br />Avenue, Pleasan~on. Comments on this decision may be directed to either the <br />Planning staff pri~r to_.the above me.eti~d3_te~ ~ directly to the City Council <br />at the above noticed meeting <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 81:438) dated December 1, 1981, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> .Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application and the negative <br />declaration. <br /> <br /> Mr. Art Dunkley, 205F Main Street, representing the applicants, stated he con- <br />curs with the staff report and Planning Commission recommendations with one excep- <br />tion. He requested that subparagraph 'o' of Planning Commission Resolution No. 2098 <br />be amended changing the word "laboratories" to "service". Mr. Harris concurred with <br />this change. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed <br />on the application and the negative declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 81-422, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br />study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact. would occur as <br />outlined in the Ctty's guidelines and that a negative declaration is' appropriate to <br />fezone an approximately 73 acre site located between Stanley Boulevard on the north <br />and the Arroyo del Valle on the south from the intersection of Stanley Boulevard and <br />California Street to a point approximately 2000 feet east of that intersection to <br />the Planned Unit Development-Commercial District, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Kephart, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 6. 12/8}81 <br /> <br /> <br />
