<br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Council-
<br />member Butler, that Ordinance No. 985, to be read by title only and waiving further
<br />reading thereof, to fezone the approximately 1 acre parcel known as 5130 Foothill
<br />Road and owned by Billy R. Newham, to R-I-40,000, with the remaining 3.36 acre par-
<br />cel left "Agricultural", and that the City records be flagged regarding the landfill
<br />problem on this property, be introduced.

<br />member Wood, that Resolution No. 81-218, approving the 1981-82 Operating Budget and
<br />Capital Improvement Program including Revenue Sharing, with the following amendments:
<br />(1) Pico Avenue extension be included in the 1981-82 Capital Improvement Program, with
<br />funds to be advanced from the General Fund Reserves to be repaid from Gas Tax Funds
<br />in later years; (2) purchase of only one sound testing unit; (3) the Assistant City
<br />Attorney position be funded to December 31, 1981; and (4) City Council's budget be
<br />reduced by $500.00, and allocating $500.00 travel expenses per year for each Council-
<br />member, be adopted.

<br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 981 was introduced on June 23, 1981, by
<br />a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-Absent, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance.

<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that
<br />Ordinance No. 981, approving the application of Farmers Insurance Croup for a PUD
<br />(Planned Unit Development-Commercial and Offices) site plan and architectural
<br />approval for an approximately 148,000 sq. ft., 4-story office building, and a
<br />4,416 sq. ft. branch claims office building on an approximately 14 acre site located
<br />on Dublin Canyon Road and the west side of Foothill Road, near the intersection of
<br />1-580, be adopted.
