135 CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS Councilmember Wood reported on the most recent ACAP/ACTEB meeting, stating that Pleasanton has been allocated $150,000 by the Department of Labor for vocational program, and $61,000 for out-of-school youth program. Councilmember Wood reported on the Solid Waste Management meeting, and stated that Councilmember Mercer is now the liaison member to this Board. Councilmember Wood stated that with the combined efforts of Sheriff Dyer, Super- visors Excell and Bort, Ray Cedar of BART, and representatives of AC Transit, there will be bus pick up for prisoners being released from Santa Rita prison twice daily, between 8:00-10:00 a.m., and 6:00-9:00 p.m., which corresponds with the major release times for prisoners, the bus stop being located west of Tassajara Road on the en- trance drive to Santa Rita. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC No one in the audience addressed the Chair. Mayor Butler stated that the two public hearings listed on the agenda regarding Hacienda Business Park will be considered simultaneously and anyone wishing to speak on either item may do so. PUBLIC HEARINGS Application of the City of Pleasanton to amend the Land Use and Circulation Element, the Growth ManaMement Element~ the General Plan Supplement and any other elements of the General Plan where appropriate and neqessary to:. (1) delete the policy referring. to a prohibition of direct vehicular access to Hopyard Road from adjacent properties between Interstate Freeway 580 and West Las Positas Boulevardl (2) delete the p.o. licy referrin~ to the routinM of all truck traffic Menerated from properties located be- tween Hopyard Road and Santa Rita Road north of West Las Positas Boulevard to the proposed frontage road 3ust south of 1-580; (3) increase the planned street width of West Las Positas Boulevard between Interstate Freeway 680 and Santa Rita Road from four lanes to s,i~ lanesl (4J..
