413 <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler declared the public hearing open on the application and the <br />negative declaration. <br /> <br /> Mr. Dean Wagerman, 2333 Martin Road, stated this general plan amendment had <br />been requested seven months ago, and that he concurs with the staff report. <br /> <br /> Mr. Gil Barbee, 147 Bernal Avenue, stated he was partially for and partially <br />against this application. He stated he had no problems with the low density <br />designation in the orchard area but felt the Thorpe property should be designated <br />medium density for easier development. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Butler declared the public hearing <br />closed on the application and the negative declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br />that Resolution No. 82-156, determining on the basis of a review of initial environ- <br />mental study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would <br /> Cit ' <br />occur as outlined in the y s guidelines and that a negative declaration is appro- <br />priate to amend the General Plan land use designation of several properties on the <br />west side of Martin Avenue between Mohr Avenue and the Arroyo Mocho and an approxi- <br />mately 45 acre site east of Martin Avenue immediately south of the Arroyo Mocho from <br />"Medium Density Residential" and "Sand and Gravel Harvesting" to Low Density Resi- <br />dential District, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that <br />Resolution No. 82-158, approving the application of the City of Pleasanton to amend <br />the General Plan land use designation of several properties on the west side of <br />Martin Avenue between Mohr Avenue and the Arroyo Mocho and an approximately 45 acre <br />site east of Martin Avenue immediately south of the Arroyo Mocho from '~edium Den- <br />sity Residential" and "Sand and Gravel Harvesting" to Low Density Residential Dis- <br />trict, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Application of Castlewood Properties~. and Kamp~ Kral and Crouch for an amendment to <br />the General Plan to chan~e approximately sixteen acres of land at the northeast <br />corner of Oakland and Mohr Avenues from the Medium Density Residential land use <br />designation to the High Density Residential designation. The City Council may re- <br />commend any action regarding this matter considered in the public interest <br /> <br />On the basis of an Initial Study of the potential environmental impacts of the <br />project, the Director of Planning and Community Development has determined that <br />the proposed project would not have any potential significant adverse effects on <br />the environment and that an environmental impact report need not be prepar. e.d.. <br />This Initial Study is available for review at the Plannin~ Division, 200 Bernal <br />Avenue, Pleasanton.
