Comments on this decision may be directed to either the <br />Planning staff prior to the..a~o~e. me.eting d~te~ o~..directly to the City Council <br />at the above noticed meeting <br /> Mr. Glenn presented the report of the Director of Planning and Community <br />Development (SR 82:170) dated May 4, 1982, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler declared the public hearing open on the application and the <br />mitigated negative declaration. <br /> <br /> Mr. Rich Henkel, representing Devcon Development, stated he concurred with <br />the staff report and feels it is the only logical way to zone the property. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Butler declared the public hearing <br />closed on the application and the mitigated negative declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Resolution No. 82-157, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br />study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as <br /> Cit ' <br />outlined in the y s guidelines and that a mitigated negative declaration is appro- <br />priate to amend the General Plan designation of an approximately 3.9 acre parcel of <br />land located on the east side of Santa Rita Road approximately 250 feet north of its <br />intersection with the tracks of the Southern Pacific Transportation Company from <br />Medium Density Residential to General and Limited Industrial and its zoning be changed <br />from the A (Agricultural) District to the I-P (Industrial Park) District, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Resolution No. 82-158, approving the application of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Oak- <br />land and Devcon Development, Inc., to amend the General Plan designation of an approxi- <br />mately 3.9 acre parcel of land located on the east side of Santa Rita Road approxi- <br />mately 250 feet north of its intersection with the tracks of the Southern Pacific <br />Transportation Company from Medium Density Residential to General and Limited Indus- <br />trial District, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> ll. 5/11/82 <br /> <br /> <br />
