Comments on this decision may be directed to either the Planning staff prior to the..a~o~e. me.eting d~te~ o~..directly to the City Council at the above noticed meeting Mr. Glenn presented the report of the Director of Planning and Community Development (SR 82:170) dated May 4, 1982, regarding this matter. Mayor Butler declared the public hearing open on the application and the mitigated negative declaration. Mr. Rich Henkel, representing Devcon Development, stated he concurred with the staff report and feels it is the only logical way to zone the property. No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. There being no further testimony, Mayor Butler declared the public hearing closed on the application and the mitigated negative declaration. It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 82-157, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as Cit ' outlined in the y s guidelines and that a mitigated negative declaration is appro- priate to amend the General Plan designation of an approximately 3.9 acre parcel of land located on the east side of Santa Rita Road approximately 250 feet north of its intersection with the tracks of the Southern Pacific Transportation Company from Medium Density Residential to General and Limited Industrial and its zoning be changed from the A (Agricultural) District to the I-P (Industrial Park) District, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler NOES: None ABSENT: None It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 82-158, approving the application of the Roman Catholic Bishop of Oak- land and Devcon Development, Inc., to amend the General Plan designation of an approxi- mately 3.9 acre parcel of land located on the east side of Santa Rita Road approxi- mately 250 feet north of its intersection with the tracks of the Southern Pacific Transportation Company from Medium Density Residential to General and Limited Indus- trial District, be adopted.
