Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application and the negative declaration. Mr. Art Dunkley, Castlewood Properties, 205 Main Street, representing the applicant, stated he concurs with the Planning Commission recommendation and staff report for approval. No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed on the application and the negative declaration. Mr. Harris advised that the negative declaration relative to this project has previously been approved in the General Plan amendment, therefore, no action is required to be taken on it at this time. It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that Ordinance No. 1019, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, approving the application of Mutual Land Company to prezone an approximately 48 acre parcel located at the eastern terminus of Crellin Road to the P.U.D. (Planned Unit Development) Low Density Residential/Open Space District with approximately 9 acres as Low Density Residential and the remaining approximately 39 acres as Open Space (Public Health and Safety) be introduced.
