Councilmember Wood stated this is a scenic area and with proper street circula-
tion can remain so.

Mayor Butler stated he felt developers should be allowed to develop with flexi-
bility as to lot sizes and street patterns.

Planning Commissioner Lindsey stated that the Mohr/Martin area is a very unique
area and should be kept that way. He stated he felt the extension of Trenery Drive
to Santa Rita Road would damage the area. He stated he felt PUD is the most appro-
priate zoning but care must be taken not to botch up the area. He felt additional
information is needed on emergency vehicle access to this area.

Planning Commissioner Doherty stated he had no problem with a cul-de-sac on
Trenery Drive; that it will keep the area rural. He stated he supports the PUD
designation but strongly opposes any lot size less than one acre.

Planning Commissioner Jamieson stated he supports the remarks of Councilmember
Mercer; that Council and Planning Commission should preplan the total area but that
each development should be allowed to develop with flexibility. He stated he sup-
ports the cul-de-sac at the end of Trenery Drive, supports the Wagerman development
as submitted, and supports the large lot size concept.

Planning Commissioner Getty stated she basically agrees with the report; but
suggested allowing for clustering which would permit more open space.

After discussion, Council and Planning Commission scheduled another joint meet-
ing with the residents of the Mohr/Martin area on November 29, 1982, 7:30 P.M., in
the Pleasanton Council Chambers, to discuss further the street circulation pattern.

Staff was instructed to prepare a more refined street pattern map showing Trenery
Drive with a cul-de-sac and no gate, and relocating the street through the Thorpe
property nearer to the four long lots adjacent to this property. Staff was also in-
structed to get input from Mr. Molinaro regarding ~his street.

Council determined that further consideration of pending applications will be
continued until final decision on the street patterns and general land use planning
is made.

Mayor Butler thanked the audience for their participation and input regarding
the general land use planning of the Mohr/Martin area.

ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business at 10:20 P.M., Mayor Butler adjourned the Special
Meeting to meet again in Regular Session on October 26, '1982, 8:00 P.M., in the
Pleasanton Council Chambers.

Respectfully submitted,

WALKER ~ CITY CLERK

4. 10/25/82
