203 <br /> <br />Pursuant to Section 8320 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code of California, <br />the City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate a portion of the right- <br />of-way of Secretariat Drive, whic~.~ortion is unnecessary for the present or <br />prospective public street use,.said mortion being an 860 sq~ ft. segment approxi- <br />mately 10 ft. wide located at the eastern terminus of Secretariat Drive at North- <br />way Road~ more particularly described on maps on file with the Engineering Divi- <br />sion of the City of Pleasanton. Consideration will also be given to changing the <br />n~me of Secretariat Drive to Secretariat Court <br /> Mr. MacDonald presented the report of the Acting City Attorney (SR 82:253) dated <br />July 2, 1982, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler declared the public hearing open on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jerry Platt, 2534 Secretariat Drive, addressed the Council with a question <br />on action to be taken due to the fact that he was not at the last Council meeting. <br />Councilmember Mercer briefly reviewed the situation and the reasons for the pro- <br />posed action. Mr. Platt had no further questions. <br /> <br /> Mr. Jim Wells, 2582 Secretariat, wanted to thank Mr. Warnick and Mr. Eastman for <br />their work, and congratulated the Council for their handling of the problem. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Butler declared the public hearing <br />closed on this item. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 82-243, declaring intention to vacate a portion of the right-of-way <br />of Secretariat Drive, which portion is unnecessary for the present or prospective <br />public street use, said portion being an 860 sq. ft. segment approximately 10 feet <br />wide located at the eastern terminus of Secretariat Drive at Northway Road, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember ~{ohr, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 82-243, changing the name of Secretariat Drive to Secretariat Court, <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1041 approving the application of the City of Pleasanton <br />to rezone the lots on the east side of Main Street between Abbie Street and the <br />Southern Pacific Transportation Company tracks from the "O/C-O" (Office-Civic Over- <br />lay) District to the "C-C/C-O~'~(Central Commercial-Civic Overlay) District <br />(Intro. 6-22-82~ 4-Ayes~ 1-Absent) <br /> Mayor Butler stated that Ordinance No. 1041 was introduced on June 22, 1982, by <br />a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-Absent, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Ordinance No. 1041, approving the application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone <br />the lots on the east side of Main Street between Abbie Street and the Southern <br />Pacific Transportation Company tracks from the "O/C-O" (Office-Civic Overlay) Dis- <br />trict to the "C-C/C-O" (Central Commercial-Civic Overlay) District, be adopted. <br /> <br /> 8. 7/13/82 <br /> <br /> <br />
