<br />Matters for the Information of the Council
<br />Mr. Walker presented his information report (IR 82:20) regarding expiration of
<br />terms on Park and Recreation Commission for Sheldon Jones and Jack Keegan. After
<br />discussion, Council determined to advertise for these vacancies with the closing
<br />date being July 30, 1982, with interviews scheduled for August 10, 1982, unless
<br />there is a large number of applicants. Councilmember Mercer suggested setting aside
<br />another night for interviewing applicants if there is a large number. It was agreed
<br />that if necessary, August 9th could also be used to interview applicants.
<br />
<br /> Mayor Butler presented the City Council Agenda Planning Report for the months
<br />of July, August, and September. No action was required or taken by Council on this
<br />item.
<br />
<br /> Mayor Butler presented the information report of the Director of Public Works
<br />and Utilities (IR 82:19) dated June 22, 1982, transmitting the Minutes from the
<br />Staff Traffic Committee meeting of June 16, 1982. No action was required or taken
<br />by Council on this item.
<br />
<br /> Mayor Butler presented the six month attendance record - January through June,
<br />1982, of the Planning Commission, Park and Recreation Commission, and Human Services
<br />Commission. Council commended the Commissioners for their attendance record.

<br />Appointment Recommendations for Minor Offense Court
<br /> Mr. Walker presented his report (SR 82:262) dated July 7, 1982, regarding this
<br />matter.

<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that
<br />Resolution No. 82-254, appointing Thomas Zach, Judy Rich, and Janet Granger, to the
<br />Minor Offense Court, be adopted.
