199 <br /> <br /> After further discussion, Mayor Butler declared this item continued to the <br /> meeting of July 27, 1982, pending further investigation and notice to the resi- <br /> dents in the affected area of the Remen Tract and the Vineyard Avenue island. <br /> <br /> Resolutions Initiating Application to LAFCO, agreeing to Distribution of Property <br /> Taxes~ and Initiating Prezoning for Annexation No. 100 (Picard) <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 82:243) dated June 30, 1982, regarding this <br /> matter. He indicated that LAFCO has already commented on this application and was <br /> concerned about the creation of a substantially surrounded island and suggested that <br /> the city enlarge the annexation to include the island. Staff indicated that the resi- <br /> dents of the area had not shown any interest in annexation but that the property <br /> owners would be contacted and if they so desired the area would be added to the <br /> annexation; if not, it would be submitted as is. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that <br /> Resolution No. 82-245, making application to LAFCO for Annexation No. 100 at 5226 <br /> Foothill Road and owned by Roger Picard, and directing staff to solicit further <br /> participation in the annexation from residents of the area, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, and Mayor Butler <br /> NOES: Councilmember Wood <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that <br />Resolution No. 82-246, agreeing to the distribution of property taxes for Annexation <br /> No. 100 at 5226 Foothill Road and owned by Roger Picard, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, and Mayor Butler <br /> NOES: Councilmember Wood <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that <br /> Resolution No. 82-247, initiating prezoning for Annexation No. 100 at 5226 Foothill <br /> Road and owned by Roger Picard, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: Councilmember Wood <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Resolution Ordering Annexation No. 89; Castleridge Properties <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 82:245) dated June 30, 1982, regarding <br /> this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, <br /> that Resolution No. 82-248, ordering Annexation No. 89; Castleridge Enterprises, <br /> Inc., approximately 231 acres of land located on the westerly side of Foothill Road <br /> south of Santos Ranch Road, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: Councilmember Wood <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Resolutio~ Ordering Annexation No. 99~ Kottinger Ranch <br /> Mr.'Warnick presented his report (SR 82:244) dated June 30, 1982, regarding <br /> this matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr asked about the island created in this annexation, and <br />staff responded that LAFCO determined that there was a good reason to create the <br />island and approved it as applied. <br /> 10. 7/13/82 <br /> <br /> <br />
