He reviewed the background of this parcel, stat- <br />ing he felt it would benefit the business district of Pleasanton to convert this <br />property to Offices. He presented a drawing showing the proposed architecture for <br />the building, which is residential style, and would preserve the heritage character <br />of the downtown area. <br /> <br /> The following persons spoke in favor of the general plan amendments: <br /> <br /> Mr. Larry Osborne, 699 Peters Avenue, stated it is his belief that Pleasanton <br />will have a more vibrant downtown if the general plan is amended to allow commercial <br />and offices west of Peters Avenue, otherwise the property will remain undeveloped <br />because of incompatible use. He stated he felt a park in do~mtwon Pleasanton would <br />not add anything to downtown. <br /> <br /> 8. 12/6/83 <br /> <br /> <br />
