Warnick presented his Information Report (IR 83:28) dated November 30, 1983, <br />transmitting the Minutes from the Staff Traffic Committee Meeting of November 16, <br />1983. No action was required or taken by Council on this item. <br /> <br />City Council Agenda Planning Report - December, January~ and February <br /> Mr. Walker presented the City Council Agenda Planning Report for the months of <br />December, January, and February, for the information of the Council. <br /> <br />.Development status of Former Daon Property <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (IR 83:29) dated DeCember 1, 1983, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Joe Burkhardt reviewed the history of this property, and in particular the <br />proposed BART station and parking Site location. He suggested that the tentative <br />map be approved and that a condition be added that five acres be held in reserve <br />for a period of six months, allowing time to review and comment on the report pre- <br />pared by BART which is due to be released shortly. Mr. Burkhardt stated that if <br />an additional 18 month period is desired to hold this parcel in abeyance, then he <br />would suggest this be accomplished under the terms of a development agreement. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler stated that Mr. Robert Eynck, representing Stoneridge Shopping <br />Center, was in attendance at the meeting earlier but had to leave, and that he <br />wanted to go on record as being concerned about the traffic situation that a BART <br />station might create. <br /> <br /> After considerable discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and <br />seconded by Councilmember Wood, directing staff to approve the Tentative Map asso- <br />ciated with the site located on the north side of Stoneridge Drive between 1-680 <br />and Stoneridge Mall Road (former Daon property), finding the project consistent <br />with the general plan, and attaching a condition that the northwest 4.5 acres as <br />shown on the exhibit submitted to Council be held for six months pending further <br />information on the proposed BART station. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: Councilmember Mohr <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mohr stated she felt this property should be placed in a Study <br />District for four months to allow further review for a full project. <br /> <br /> 21. 12/6/83 <br /> <br /> <br />
