There being no further testimony, Mayor Butler declared the public hearing closed <br />on this item. <br /> <br /> Mr. MacDonald stated there was no reason to change his recommendation. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Council- <br />member Mercer, that Resolution No. 83-552, approving the Resolution of Necessity for <br />the Access Street to Valley Plaza Villages II, after determining that the public <br />interest and necessity require the acquisition of certain land, and directing the <br />filing of eminent domain proceedings, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: Councilmember Wood <br />ABSF. No action was required or taken by <br />Council on this item. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Resolutions Makelng Application to LAFCO and A~reeing to the Exchange of Property <br />Tax Revenue and Initiating Prezoning for Annexation No. 85 (Purl) <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 83:532') dated November 29, 1983, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br />Resolution No. 83-553, making application to LAFCO for Annexation No. 85, (Dr. Hari <br />Puri, 3885 Foothill Road); Resolution No. 83-554, agreeing to the exchange of pro- <br />perty revenue for Annexation No. 85 (Dr. Hari Purl, 3885 Foothill Road); and Resolu- <br />tion No. 83-555, initiating prezoning for Annexation No. 95 (Dr. Hari Puri, 3885 <br />Foothill Road), be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Recommendations for Changes to the Post Office Parking. Lot <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report ('SR 83:533) dated November 30, 1983, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Council- <br />member Wood, directing staff to negotiate with Postal officials for accomplishment of <br />adding a new exit driveway approximately half way between the two existing driveways <br />and reconstructing part of the lot to allow exiting left turns to Black Avenue from <br />the new central driveway for mailbox drop traffic and parkers in the westerly half <br />of the parking lot, and requesting the Post Office to share in the costs for this <br />project. <br /> <br /> 20. 12/6/83 <br /> <br /> <br />
