423 <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that <br /> Resolution No. 83-455, declaring the parcel of City land at the northeast corner of <br /> Rose Avenue and Peters Avenue as surplus; determining that the fair market value of <br /> the property is $45,800.00; directing staff to notify all agencies required by law to <br /> be given first opportunity to purchase surplus property; and if no such agency wishes <br /> to purchase the property, authorize staff to advertise for bids for the sale of the <br /> property with a minimum acceptable bid price of $45,800.00, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> ~eport on Request from John Caroline for Annexation of approximately 2 acres on the <br /> North Side of Vineyard Avenue (Remen Tract) <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 83:437) dated October 5, 1983, regarding <br /> this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that <br />Resolution No. 83-456, denying the request from John Caroline for annexation of approxi- <br />mately two acres on the north side of Vineyard Avenue because it is not a logical <br />expansion of the City boundaries at this time, and that it should not take place until <br />a common solution for the street and utility inadequacies in the entire "Remen Tract" <br />is worked out, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report on Request for Annexation from Mike Harris~ LaWrence Miller, and Dorothy <br />Miller for approximately 6.39 acres on the North Side of Vineyard Avenue <br /> Mayor Butler declared this item continued to the meeting of October 25, 1983, at <br />the request of the applicant. <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> 'Mr. Walker presented the City Council Agenda Planning Report for the months of <br />October, November, and December. <br /> <br />qxpiration of Jerry Case's Term on Human Services Commissions <br /> Mr. Walker presented his Staff Report (SR 83:444) dated October 6, 1983, regard- <br />ing this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, to <br />advertise for the vacancy on the Human Services Commission with a closing date of <br />October 26, 1983, and inviting Mr. Case to reapply for consideration to this appoint- <br />ment. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Report on PoSsible violation of Noise Ordinance by Interstate Industrial Laundry <br />(Contd. from 9-27-83) <br /> Mr. MacDonald advised that staff is continuing to work with the neighbors and <br />the manager of the Interstate Industrial Laundry in an effort to resolve the noise <br />problems at this location in an amicable fashion.
