· 143 MINUTES of THE MEETING of THE CITY COUNCIL July 26, 1983 CALL TO ORDER Mayor Robert Butler called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 P.M., and then led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL Deputy City Clerk Doris George called the roll which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler were present. Councilmember Brandes was absent. Mr. Walker, City Manager, Mr. MacDonald, City Attorney, Mr. Warnick, Director of Public Works and Utilities, Mr. Harris, Director of Planning and Community Development, and Mrs. Bengtson, Director of Recreation and Human Resources, were present. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Mr. Walker requested that item 4d - Confirming Cost Accounting Report - Weed Abatement 1983, be removed from the agenda, at the request of staff. Mr. Walker requested that an item be added to the agenda under the Consent Cal- endar as item 4aa - Proclaim the Week of August 1-6, 1983 as Muscular Dystrophy Bowl-A-Thon Week in support of the Muscular Dystrophy Bowi-A-Thon and the sponsor- ing Pleasanton Jaycees and Granada Bowl. Mr. Walker advised there would be an Executive Session held at the conclusion of this meeting to discuss pending litigation. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar, as amended thereto, be approved: a. Approval of City Council Minutes for 7-12-83. b. Adoption of Resolution No. 83-281, approving Claims for the month of June, 1983 in the amount of $1,802,940.72. c. Adoption of Resolution No. 83-282, approving retention periods for various city records. d. Withdrawn from agenda, Confirmation Cost Accounting Report - Weed Abatement 1983. e. Adoption of Resolution No. 83-283, accepting the lease assignment from the Pleasanton Lions Club for Wayside Park. f. Adoption of Resolution No. 83-284, approving reimbursement agreement with Pru- dential Insurance Company for preliminary costs of Foothill Reservoir, and authorizing execution of the agreement by the appropriate city officials. g. Adoption of Resolution No. 83-285, approving Indemnification Agreement with Prudential Insurance Company for Right-of-Entry for Stoneridge Drive and Santa Rita Road Improvements, and authorizing execution of the agreement by the appropriate city officials.
