<br /> Letter from East Bay Regional Park District Re: Quarrl at..~pperson Ridge
<br /> Mayor Butler presented a letter from the East Bay Regional Park District dated
<br /> July 1, 1983, and a Memorandum of Intent relative to a quarry application at Apperson
<br /> Ridge. It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, to
<br /> direct the City Manager to write a letter expressing City Council's support for
<br /> actions taken by East Bay Regional Park District to permit this quarry.
<br /> The roll call vote was as follows:

<br /> Mr. Walker presented the City Council Calendar for the information of the

<br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION
<br /> Mayor Butler recessed the meeting at 10:00 P.M., to an Executive Session to
<br /> discuss pending litigation and personnel.
<br />
<br /> Mayor Butler reconvened the meeting at 11:10 P.M.
<br />
<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that
<br /> Resolution No. 83-278, adopting a compensation plan establishing the salary and supple-
<br /> mentary benefits for City Manager James R. Walker, effective May 13, 1983, and amending
<br /> the budget accordingly, be adopted.

<br /> ABSENT: None

<br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that
<br /> Resolution No. 83-279, adopting a compensation plan establishing the salary and
<br /> supplementary benefits for City Attorney Peter D. MacDonald, effective July 1, 1983,
<br /> and amending the budget. accordingly, be adopted.
