<br />h. Adoption of Resolution No. 83-249, approving the conceptual design for an 8
<br /> million gallon reservoir at the existing Foothill Road site as recommended by
<br /> consultants Camp, Dresser, and McKee, Inc.,; directing staff to prepare detailed
<br /> descriptions and cost estimates for work to be included in the North Pleasanton
<br /> Water Assessment District and an appropriate petition for formation of the Dis-
<br /> trict, the petition and work description are to be reviewed by the City Council
<br /> prior to circulation; and directing the staff to continue negotiations with Pru-
<br /> dential concerning advance funding for right-of-way acquisitions, reservoir de-
<br /> sign, and reservoir site work in order to expedite construction of the Foothill
<br /> Reservoir.

<br />i. Adoption of Resolution No. 83-250, approving fees and charges for recreational
<br /> facilities and services as set forth in Staff Report 83:250 dated June 22, 1983.

<br />j.Adoption of Resolution No. 83-251, approving claims for the month of May, 1983,
<br /> in the amount of $43,830,069.92.
<br />
<br />k. Adoption of Resolution No. 83-252, approving modification to Condition No. 3 of
<br /> City Council Resolution No. 83-160, as follows: "That the project shall be main-
<br /> tained as rental housing with units not to be individually sold for a period of
<br /> five (5) years, said period to commence September i, 1983", in connection with
<br /> the application of Breilh Homes for minor changes to an approved PUD for a 32
<br /> unit townhouse project proposed for the approximately 2 acre site located on the
<br /> south side of Palomino Drive between Pico Avenue and Concord Street.

<br /> It was moved by Vice Mayor Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that
<br />Resolution No. 83-253, welcoming the community of San Ramon to Cityhood, be adopted.

<br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS
<br />Communication to City Manager from Industrial General Plan Review Steering Committee
<br /> Vice Mayor Mercer presented a letter from the Industrial General Plan Review Steer-
<br />ing Committee dated June 22, 1983, to the City Manager, requesting approximately $15,000
<br />from the contingency fund of the fiscal year 1983-84 budget for the purchase of a
<br />microcomputer and related software which would be used to translate traffic data into
<br />elements useful in monitoring the effects of future industrial/commercial growth. Vice
<br />Mayor Mercer advised this matter is for the information of Councilmembers, and he re-
<br />ferred the item to staff for further review and recommendation.
<br />
<br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC
<br /> Mr. Doyle Heaton, Vintage Hills Limited, presented his letter dated June 24, 1983,
<br />stating that the general plan amendment date change, as initiated by Council at their
<br />meeting of June 14, 1983, created an extreme hardship on his firm and the submittal
<br />of the application for his Vintage Hills project. After discussion, it was moved by
<br />Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, changing the general plan
<br />amendment considerate date from July 12, 1983, to July 26, 1983, and instructed staff
<br />to notify any developers who might be affected by this change.
