255 It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that Ordinance No. 1093, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, amending provisions of the business license and gross receipts tax relating to evidence of doing business and penalties for late payment, be introduced. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, and Wood NOES: Vice Mayor Mercer ABSENT: Mayor Butler COMMUNICATIONS Mr. Walker advised that he had talked to Ronald Mayne, of the Local Agency Forma- tion Commission, regarding a report he is preparing relative to the Sphere of Influ- ence for the City of Dublin. It will be Mr. Maynets recommendation that the City of Dublin Sphere of Influence not go south of 1-580. After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that Resolution No. 83-265, affirming City Council's strong position in opposition to the City of Dublin's Sphere of Influence extending south of 1-580, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mohr, Wood, and Vice Mayor Mercer NOES: None ABSENT: Mayor Butler Vice Mayor Mercer instructed staff to send a copy of this resolution to LAFCO as soon as possible. CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR Mr. Walker presented the City Council Calendar for the information of the Council. EXECUTIVE SESSION Vice Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting at 10:30 P.M., to an Executive Session to discuss pending litigation. Vice Mayor Mercer reconvened the meeting at 10:50 P.M. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business at 10:55 P.M., it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that the meeting be adjourned to meet again in Regular Session on July 12, 1983, at 8:00 P.M., in the Pleasanton Council Chambers.
