Application of the CitI of Pleasanton to amend the General Plan designation of the <br />approxima!elX 200 foot wide striR located on the west side of Vineyard/rico Avenue <br />between Vineyard/rico/Tawny intersection and the Arroyo del Valle from Open Space- <br />Parks and Recreation to Med'ium Density 'Residential and to change the designation <br />of the aoprox~a.tely 3/4 acre parcel located immediately west of the Vineyard <br />Villa Mobile Home Park from Open Space-Parks and Recreation to High Density Resi- <br />dential <br /> <br />Consider Adoption of Negative Declaration <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 83:137) dated April 6, 1983, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler declared the public hearing open on the application and the negative <br />declaration. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 83-130, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br />study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as <br />outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate to <br />amend the General Plan designation of the approximately 200 foot wide strip located <br />on the west side of Vineyard/rico Avenue between Vineyard/rico/Tawny intersection and <br />the Arroyo del Valle from Open Space-Parks and Recreation to Medium Density Residen- <br />tial and to change the designation of the approximately 3/4 acre parcel located <br />immediately west of the Vineyard Villa Mobile Home Park from Open Space-Parks and <br />Recreation to High Density Residential, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Brandes <br /> <br /> Council concurred with Park and Recreation Commission's concern that an alternate <br />neighborhood park site be found. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that <br />Resolution No. 83-131, approving the application of the City of Pleasanton to amend <br />the General Plan designation of the approximately 200 foot wide strip located on the <br />west side of Vineyard/rico Avenue between Vineyard/rico/Tawny intersection and the <br />Arroyo del Valle from Open Space-Parks and Recreation to Medium Density Residential <br />and to change the designation of the approximately 3/4 acre parcel located immediately <br />west of the Vineyard Villa Mobile Home Park from Open Space-Parks and Recreation to <br />High Density Residential, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Brandes <br /> <br />Appeal of a minor modification of case PUD-81-32 for a 61 unit tow~house development <br />on the north side of Vineyard Avenue opposite Amador Court having to do with reor- <br />ientation of units, increase in size of units and minor architectural changes <br /> Council discussed whether or not to continue this item since it was appealed by <br />Councilmember Brandes, who is absent from this meeting.
