205 <br /> <br /> Mr. Walker advised that the City has applied for HCD funds in the amount of <br />$12,500 to replace items damaged in the flood storm at Pleasanton Gardens. <br /> <br /> Mr. Dale Harrington, Manager of Pleasanton Gardens, 251 Kottinger, thanked the <br />public and the City for their response during the recent flooding crisis at the <br />senior citizens housing complex. He stated he supports the recommendations pre- <br />sented in the staff report. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Council- <br />member Mohr, that Resolution No. 83-76, authorizing the Director of Public Works to <br />select a qualified engineering firm to perform a drainage study in the general area <br />of Kottinger Drive and within Pleasanton Gardens, and to issue a purchase order for <br />this engineering work not to exceed $10,000, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report on Proposed Extension of Valley Avenue to Pico Avenue <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 83:65) dated February 16, 1983, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, that <br />Resolution No. 83-77, reaffirming Council's desire to complete the Valley Avenue- <br />Pico Avenue-Bernal Avenue loop, as called for by the April 1982 General Plan Map, and <br />directing staff to diligently pursue the proposed Valley Avenue Extension Project <br />with all affected parties, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood suggested that truck traffic restrictions at Valley Business <br />Park also be made to apply to all business parks in Pleasanton. Council took no <br />action on this matter. <br /> <br />Mid-Year Budget Review - 1982-83 <br /> Mrs. Wagner presented her report (SR 83:68) dated February 7, 1983, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> Council discussion ensued regarding overtime for Fire Department employees. <br />Staff requested Council policy relative to this issue. Council instructed staff <br />to bring back a detailed report regarding Fire Department manning and overtime <br />procedures. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Council- <br />member Mercer, that Resolution No. 83-78, amending the 1982-83 fiscal year budget <br />to reflect the adjustments in the financial status of the General Fund, Sewer Fund, <br />and Water Enterprise Fund as presented in Staff Report 83:68, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />R__eport on Pleasanton Hous~nB ~p~p,_!p~z2_~e: Affordable Housing Development <br /> Mayor Butler declared this item continued to the meeting of March 22, 1983, at <br />the request of staff. <br /> <br /> 11. 2/22/83 <br /> <br /> <br />
