Sheldon Jones <br /> <br /> Pleasanton Housin8 Authority Board - January 31, 1983 <br /> Yvan Albert <br /> Alfredo Meneses <br /> Candace Aderman <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler stated is was now in order to make the appointments. <br /> <br /> Human Services Commission <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that <br />Resolution No. 83-45, appointing Michael O. Hunt to fill the expired term of Marcelline <br />Mahern, said term to expire 10-22-87; and appointing Loretta E. Baker as Alternate <br />Member, said term to expire 10-22-87, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Pleasanton Housin8 Authority Board <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that <br />Resolution No. 83-46, reappointing Yvan Albert to serve a four year term, said term to <br />expire 1-25-87; and appointing Candace Aderman to fill the expired term of Christine <br />Pearson, for a term of four years, said term to expire 1-25-87, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Plannin5 Commission <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that <br />Resolution No. 83-47, appointing A1 Arrigoni as Alternate Member to serve a four year <br />term, said term to expire May 5, 1987, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Councilmembers expressed appreciation to all of the candidates who were considered <br />for positions on the various boards and commissions. Mayor Butler was asked to write <br />a letter of thanks to these people. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes requested staff to prepare a report regarding legislative <br />information relative to holding elections on Saturday instead of Tuesday, in hopes of <br />encouraging a larger voter turnout~ <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler stated that the Alameda County Planning Commission, at their meeting <br />of February 7, 1983, had approved the application to allow gravel trucks leaving the <br />Moller Quarry to proceed south on Foothill Road, even though the City had sent a letter <br />in opposition to this route. He advised the County added a condition requiring a flag- <br />men to be utilized at Foothill Road and West Las Positas during construction of the <br />West Las Positas overcrossing project.
