After further discussion, Council declined to initiate the draft ordinance and <br /> Mayor Butler instructed staff to prepare additional draft amendments to the condo- <br /> minium conversion ordinance addressing the issues raised by Council, for consideration <br /> at the meeting of February 8, 1983. <br /> <br /> Introduction of Ordinance Requiring the use of a Backflow Prevention Device when <br /> taking water from Fire Hydrants <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 83:34) dated January 19, 1983, regarding this <br /> matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br /> Ordinance No. 1072, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, <br /> amending Chapter 9 (Water), Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton <br /> to add regulations for the intermittent sale of water via hydrants and blow-offs, <br /> be introduced. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> COMMUNICATIONS <br /> Letter from Prudential Insurance Company~ Re: Master Plan for DSRSD Wastewater <br /> Treatment Plant Site <br /> Mayor Butler presented the report of the City Manager (SR 83:36) dated January <br /> 19, 1983, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Council- <br /> member Brandes, that Resolution No. 83-35, accepting Prudential Insurance Company's <br /> offer to fund the Master Plan Study of the Dublin San Ramon Services District plant <br /> site in the approximate amount of $139,000, and requesting DSRSD to proceed with the <br /> study as proposed in the Brown and Caldwell agreement, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR <br /> Mayor Butler presented the City Council Calendar for the information of the <br /> Council. <br /> <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Butler recessed the meeting at 10:40 P.M., to an Executive Session to <br /> discuss pending litigation. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler reconvened the meeting at 11:20 P.M. <br /> <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> There being no further business at 11:25 P.M., it was moved by Councilmember <br /> Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that the meeting be adjourned to meet <br /> again in Regular Session on February 8, 1983, 8:00 P.M., in the Pleasanton Council <br /> Chambers. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT-: None <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />IB R.
