It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br /> Ordinance No. 1069, establishing the following speed limits: (1) Johnson Drive - <br /> Stoneridge Drive to 0.2 mile northerly of Commerce to a speed limit of 35 MPH; and <br /> (2) Peters Avenue - Bernal Avenue to St. John Street to a speed limit of 25 MPH, be <br /> adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> Actions Taken by the Board of Ad~ustment~ Design Review Board~ and Planning Commis- <br /> sion at their meetin~ of 1-12-83 <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 83:17) dated January 13, 1983, regarding <br /> this matter for the information of the Council. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer stated he had some concerns regarding the application of <br /> James Cross and Texaco relative to a service station at 44 Mission Drive. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer,'and seconded by Council- <br />member Brandes, for City Council to appeal the decision of the Planning Commission <br />in approving UP-82-24, application of James Cross and Texaco, Inc., for conditional <br />use permit approval to operate a service station, not including the sale of gasoline, <br />at 44 Mission Drive, to be considered at the meeting of February 8, 1983. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> Consideration of Proposed FAU Street Projects <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 83:19) dated January 19, 1983, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that <br />Resolution No. 83-34, approving FAU street projects as follows: <br /> <br /> .project 1 <br /> Traffic signals at the following locations: <br /> (a) Del Valle Parkway at Main Street $85,000 <br /> (b) Del Valle Parkway at Hopyard Road 85,000 <br /> (c) Pico Avenue at Sunol Boulevard 125,000 <br /> (d) Foothill Road ateWest Las Positas 100,000 <br /> Total $395,000 <br /> Project 2 <br /> Improve new Bernal Avenue from Western <br /> Pacific Underpass to First Street $250,000 <br /> TOTAL PROGRAM $645,000 <br />be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> lo. 1/25/83 <br /> <br /> <br />
