161 <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br /> <br />Appointment of Members on the Environmental Monitoring Committee <br /> Councilmember Butler stated that several applications had been received to fill <br />the two vacancies on the Environmental Monitorin~ Committee; many of whom were very <br />qualified. After discussion, it was moved bv Councilmember Butler, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 84-623, appointing three members to the <br />Environmental Monitoring Committee, instead of the original two, as follows: Dean <br />Schenone, John Kelley, and Dr. Reino Henderson, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Appointment of Human Services Commissioners <br /> Mayor Mercer advised that four candidates had been interviewed by Council on <br />November 27, 1984, and that it was now in order to make the appointments. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and s~conded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 84-624, appointing Dawn Gordner, Jarrett Johnson, and Bernard McEntee <br />as members of the Human Services Commission, for four year terms beginning December <br />10, 1984, replacing Philip Cooper, Sharon Kosch, and Doris Slater, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer instructed the City Manager to send letters notifying the appropriate <br />individuals. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes requested that the minor modification to Twelve Oaks PUD <br />pertaining to fence type be added to the agenda as item !Ce. After further study on <br />the subject, he stated he would like to move for reconsideration. It was moved by <br />Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, to reconsider PUD-79-2-4M, <br />minor modification to Twelve Oaks PUD pertaining to fence type, as item 12e on the <br />agenda. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer reGuested the City Attorney to write a policy stating that each <br />contract the City enters into states a specific completion date, and those not com- <br />plying with the completion date will be penalized. The City Attorney stated that <br />the policy would be ready for Council approval at the next City Council meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> There were no City Council Committee Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Don McNahan, 2708 Laramie Gate Circle, expressed concern that the presentation <br />on the San Ramon Branchline Transportation Study was presented only to the City Council <br />and felt that there should be a formal meetinS where Pleasanton residents are made <br />aware of this study. Hr. Warnick stated that there have been meetings in the area in <br />which residents have received notification. He also noted that there will be a meeting <br />in Februar- to update all concerned. Mayor Mercer stated that he would like to pur- <br />chase a newspaper advertisement for notification of the February meeting. <br /> <br /> 3. 12/11/8~ <br /> <br /> <br />
