161 MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS Appointment of Members on the Environmental Monitoring Committee Councilmember Butler stated that several applications had been received to fill the two vacancies on the Environmental Monitorin~ Committee; many of whom were very qualified. After discussion, it was moved bv Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 84-623, appointing three members to the Environmental Monitoring Committee, instead of the original two, as follows: Dean Schenone, John Kelley, and Dr. Reino Henderson, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer NOES: None ABSENT: None Appointment of Human Services Commissioners Mayor Mercer advised that four candidates had been interviewed by Council on November 27, 1984, and that it was now in order to make the appointments. It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and s~conded by Councilmember Wood, that Resolution No. 84-624, appointing Dawn Gordner, Jarrett Johnson, and Bernard McEntee as members of the Human Services Commission, for four year terms beginning December 10, 1984, replacing Philip Cooper, Sharon Kosch, and Doris Slater, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer NOES: None ABSENT: None Mayor Mercer instructed the City Manager to send letters notifying the appropriate individuals. Councilmember Brandes requested that the minor modification to Twelve Oaks PUD pertaining to fence type be added to the agenda as item !Ce. After further study on the subject, he stated he would like to move for reconsideration. It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, to reconsider PUD-79-2-4M, minor modification to Twelve Oaks PUD pertaining to fence type, as item 12e on the agenda. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer NOES: None ABSENT: None Mayor Mercer reGuested the City Attorney to write a policy stating that each contract the City enters into states a specific completion date, and those not com- plying with the completion date will be penalized. The City Attorney stated that the policy would be ready for Council approval at the next City Council meeting. CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS There were no City Council Committee Reports presented at this meeting. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Mr. Don McNahan, 2708 Laramie Gate Circle, expressed concern that the presentation on the San Ramon Branchline Transportation Study was presented only to the City Council and felt that there should be a formal meetinS where Pleasanton residents are made aware of this study. Hr. Warnick stated that there have been meetings in the area in which residents have received notification. He also noted that there will be a meeting in Februar- to update all concerned. Mayor Mercer stated that he would like to pur- chase a newspaper advertisement for notification of the February meeting. 3. 12/11/8~
