217 <br /> <br /> Council discussion ensued as to whether or not to include the Valley Memorial <br />Hospital site in the assessment district. <br /> <br /> After further discussion, Councilmember Butler withdrew his motion and Council- <br />member Wood withdrew his second. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer requested a letter of commitment from the Valley Memorial Hospital <br />Board of Directors, stating their intention relative to construction of a hospital <br />on the subject site. Mr. Andpews assured Mayor Mercer that such a letter would be <br />sent to Council. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br />Resolution No. 84-528, overruling protests in connection with North Pleasanton Fire <br />Protection Assessment District No. 1982-6; Resolution No. 84-529, amending Resolution <br />of Intention No. 84-398 as to the description of work in connection with North <br />Pleasanton Fire Protection Assessment District No. 1982-6; Resolution No. 84-530, <br />approving report and assessment and ordering improvement in connection with North <br />Pleasanton Fire Protection Assessment District No. 1982-6; Resolution No. 84-531~ <br />authorizing change orders in connection with North Pleasanton Fire Protection Assess- <br />ment District No. 1982-6; and Resolution No. 84-532, awarding construction contract <br />to Nelson T. Lewis Construction Co., Inc.~ for the construction of the fire station <br />and to O. C.
