Commission and staff. He advised that Planning Commission recommended removal of the <br />palm tree on the property but staff has recommended saving the tree if at all possible. <br />Mr. Amaral stated the tree looks like an 80t telephone pole and he would like to remove <br />it and replace it with a better tree at a better location. He urged approval of his <br />application. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in opposition to this item. <br /> <br /> There being no further testimony, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed <br />on the application and the negative declaration. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that <br />Resolution No. 84-253, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br />study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as <br />outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate in <br />connection with the application of Lee Amaral for PUD (Planned Unit Development)-zoning <br />and development plan approval for an eight unit multi-family residential project on an <br />approximately 0.28 acre site at 404 St. Mary Street, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that Ordi- <br />nance No. 1144, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, approving <br />the application of Lee Amaral for PUD (Planned Unit Development)-zoning and development <br />plan approval for an eight unit multi-family residential project on an approximately <br />0.28 acre site at 404 St. Mary Street (southwest corner of St. Mary Street and Peters <br />Avenue), subject to all conditions contained in Planning Commission Resolution No. 2469 <br />(allowing removal of the palm tree), be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Application of Ashwill Hawkins and Partners, Inc., for design approval of four office/ <br />industrial buildings totalling approximately 36,900 sq. ft.., and related facilities on <br />an approximately 2.4 acre site at 2174 and 2183 Rheem Drive. Zoning for the property <br />~s PUD ~Pi~ned Unit Development)-Industrial District <br /> <br />Consider Adoption of Negative Decla~ation <br /> After discussion, Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing on this item open, and <br />continued to the meeting of June 12, 1984, 8:00 P.M., in the Pleasanton Council Chambers, <br />because the applicant was not present to answer questions from Council.
