The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Wood, and Vice Mayor Brandes NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember Butler and Mayor Mercer MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS Appointment of Tenant Board Members on the Pleasanton Housing Authority Board Vice Mayor Brandes advised that interviews were held earlier this evening for cand- idates to be considered for tenant representatives on the Pleasanton Housing Authority Board, and that all were well qualified. It was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that Reso- lution No. 84-228, reappointing Marion Lowe as Kottinger Place Representative on the Pleasanton Housing Authority Board for a term of two years, said term to expire May 1, 1986, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Wood, and Vice Mayor Brandes NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember Butler and Mayor Mercer It was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that Reso- lution Z~o. 84-228, appointing Debra J. Hunt as Arroyo Vista Representative on the Pleasanton Housing Authority Board for a term of two yeaPs, said term to expire May 1, 1986, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Mohr, Wood, and Vice Mayor Brandes NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember Butler and Mayor Mercer Councilmember Wood asked about the status of the project on the soundwall and median improvements on Valley Avenue. Mr. Warnick advised that a consultant is work- ing on the design with the developer and the homeowners, which should be finaled by mid-June. He stated that construction should commence in July with a completion date of September or October. Councilmember Wood asked about the status of the completion of the soundwall for Ponderosa tIomes. Mr. Warnick stated there are two projects; one for Ponderosa Homes and another for Barrett Homes, and that construction should be started around July 15 and September 1st. Councilmember Wood requested that staff investigate replacing a bus stop bench at Valley Avenue and Santa Rita Road. Vice Mayor Brandes asked if Barrett Homes would be allowed to open their models before the west side of Valley Avenue and the soundwall are completed. The City 4. 5/8/84
