Mr. Valley agreed to the motion. <br /> <br /> After further discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br /> Councilmember Butler, that Ordinance No. 1139, to be read by title only and waiving <br /> further reading thereof, approving the application of Val West, Inc., for PUD (Planned <br /> Unit Development)-development plan approval of a 200 unit residential development pro- <br /> ject on approximately 35 acres located on the north side of Vineyard Avenue opposite <br /> Sauterne Way, subject to all conditions contained in Planning Commission Resolution <br /> 2440, with the modifications that construction could begin before the connection of <br /> <br /> bute $110,000 in a ! o con- <br /> strueting that connection; that the developer phase the project in equal increments <br /> over a four year period; and that the developer pay the entire cost of improving the <br /> signal phasing and turn lane modifications to the First Street and Vineyard Avenue <br /> intersection; that the findings required for the waiver of one third of the park fees <br /> as provided in condition No. 3 of Planning Commission Resolution No. 2440 can be made, <br /> be introduced. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Butler moved to amend the motion to stop the project after construc- <br /> tion of the first 100 units if improvements to the Valley Avenue extension are not <br /> assured by that time. <br /> <br />C) The motion died for lack of a second. <br />~ The roll call vote on the Introduction of Ordinance No. 1139 was as follows: <br />~ AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, and ~ood <br />~'~ NOES: Mayor Mercer <br />~[ ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> ~[ ~pplication of the City of Pleasanton to rezone an approximately. 1.2 acre site located <br /> at 123 and 125 Ray Street from the RM-i~00 (Multifamily Residential) District to the <br /> PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Medium Density Residential District <br /> <br /> Consider Adoption of Negative Declaration <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 84:216) dated April 13, 1984, regarding this <br /> matter. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing open on the application and the negative <br /> declaration. <br /> <br /> No one in the audience spoke in favor of or in opposition to this item. <br /> / <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer declared the public hearing closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mohr, that <br /> Resolution No. 84-205, determining on the basis of a review of initial environmental <br /> study done for this project, that no significant environmental impact would occur as <br /> outlined in the City's guidelines and that a negative declaration is appropriate in <br /> connection with the application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone an approximately <br /> 1.2 acre site located at 123 and 125 Ray Street from the RM-1S00 (Multi-family Resi- <br /> dential) District to the PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Medium Density Residential <br /> District, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 9. 4/24/84 <br /> <br /> <br />
