Mr. Leland Topham, representing Integrated Storage Corporation, presented amended <br />plans modifying the roof to use cement tile, lowering the height of the building by six <br />feet, and changing the landscaping. Mr. Topham stated that he has a letter from DSRSD <br />advising they will agree to plant the corner section, which they own, in conjunction <br />with this project. In addition, they have allowed Integrated Storage Corporation to <br />plant on the south side of the fence between the sewer district and the project to in- <br />crease foliage to obviate the side lines. He stated that the improved landscaping <br />should make the buildings almost invisible from the freeway view. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated he is very pleased with the improved landscaping but <br />still has concerns regarding density of this project, and that he will be voting in <br />opposition to the development. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mohr, and seconded by Council- <br />member Butler, that Ordinance No. 1125, approving the application of Vorelco of Cali- <br />fornia, Inc., and Integrated Storage Corporation for PUD (Planned Unit Development) <br />development plan approval, for an approximately 70,000 sq. ft. mini storage facility <br />on an approximately 2.5 acre site located at the southeast corner of Stoneridge Drive <br />and 1-680, subject to all conditions listed previously, and adding two additional <br />conditions as follows: (!) that the parapets at the ends of each section of the build- <br />ings be elevated a foot or so above the ehight of the mansard orrfs; and (2) that the <br />upper level mansards project far enough above the tar and gravel second story roofs <br />that those roofs shall not be visible from 1-680 or the Stoneridge Drive/I-680 over- <br />crossing, be re-introduced. <br />The to!! call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilmember Brandes <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 1132, approving the application of Clifford Preston for <br />rezoning and development plan approval for a nine unit townhouse complex on an <br />approximately 5 acre site, located at the northeast corner of the intersection of <br />Mission Drive and Dolores Drive <br />(Intro. 3-27-84, 4-Ayes, 1-Absent) <br /> Mayor Mercer stated that Ordinance No. 1132 was introduced on March 27, 1984, by <br />a vote of 4-Ayes, 1-Absent, and that it was now in order to adopt the ordinance. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Butler, that <br />Ordinance No. 1132, approving the application of Clifford Preston for rezoning and <br />development plan approval for a nine unit townhouse complex on an approximately .5 <br />acre site, located at the northeast corner of the intersection of Mission Drive and <br />Dolores Drive, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />SPECIAL REPORTS <br /> There were no Special Reports presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />Actions Taken by the Design Review Board and Planning Commission at their meeting of <br />3-25-84 <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 84:173) dated March 29, 1984, regarding this <br />matter for the information of the Council.
