Continuation of Records Management Program <br /> Mr. Walker presented the report of the Assistant to the City Manager (SR 84:78) <br />dated February 8, 1984, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that <br />Resolution No. 84-76, approving the continuation of the Records Management Program and <br />amending the 1983-84 budget to permit the expenditure of $15,550 to convert the Planning <br />Department's files to the new filing system and equipment, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Recommendation Regarding the Park Capital Improvement Program including Funding. for the <br />purchase of two parks <br /> Mrs. Bengtson presented her report (SR 84:83) dated February 8, 1984, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Waiker presented a memorandum from Mrs. F. Souza, dated February 14, 1984, re- <br />questing the City Council to act on retaining an Appraiser to appraise her property in <br />the downtown area as soon as possible, so that she will be able to look into options <br />available for use of the property. <br /> <br /> Mr. Frank Belecky, 892 Madeira Drive, stated it is the recommendation of the Vintage <br />Hills residents that the development of Vintage Hills Park be No. 1 on the priority list <br />and that the acquisition of the 4+ acre site on Tawny Drive and Bernal Avenue be No. 2 <br />on the priority list, because of the rapid multi-family construction in the Vintage Hills <br />area. <br /> <br /> After considerable discussion, it was moved by CoUncilmember Mohr, and seconded by <br />Councilmenlet Brandes, that staff recommendations as presented in-Staff Report 84:83, <br />be approved. <br /> <br /> After further discussion, Councilmember Brandes withdrew his second to the above <br />motion. ~ <br /> <br /> The motion died for lack of another second. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that <br />Resolution No. 84-77, amending the 1983-84 Park Capital Improvement Program to include <br />acquisition of the approximately 4+ acre site on Tawny Drive and Bernal Avenue, and <br />authorizing an appraisal on the 25,560 square foot park site on Peters Avenue and Divi- <br />sion Street, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Park Maintenance Study <br />· Mrs. wagner presented her report (SR 84:82) dated February 3, 1984, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Brandes stated that the Park and Recreation Commission has reviewed <br />this report and feel strongly that the program should be implemented as soon as possible. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Mercer, and seconded by Councilmember <br />Brandes, that Resolution No. 84-78, approving the recommendations presented in Staff Re- <br />port 84:82, and amending the 1983-84 fiscal year budget by $156,125 to implement the in- <br /> <br /> 11. 2/14/84 <br /> <br /> <br />
