Report on Request for Annexation from Mike Harris, Lawrence Miller and Dorothy <br />Miller for approximately 6.39 acres on the North Side of Vineyard Avenue <br />(Contd. from 10-25-83 and 12-6-83) <br /> Mayor Butler declared this item continued to the meeting of January 24, 1984, <br />at the request of the applicant. <br /> <br />Report on Proposed Sound Wall Construction and Landscaping for V.al.!ey Avenue <br /> This item was considered after Public Hearings on the agenda. <br /> <br />Report on Truck Route Signing - North Pleasanton <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 84:19) dated January 5, 1984, regarding <br />this matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that <br /> "NoThru Trucks" signs be installed at the following locations: (1) eastbound on West <br />Las Positas at Santa Rita; (2) westbound on West Las Positas at Hopyard Road; (3) <br /> westbound on Inglewood at Hopyard Road; and (4) southbound on Denker at Stoneridge; <br /> and directing the City Attorney to make a comprehensive review of the truck route <br /> ordinance and prepare recommendations for necessary amendments. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report on Request for Annexation from Castlewood Properties? Inc..?. fg~ 9.1 acres <br />at the corners of Tawny, Bernal, and Vineyard Avenues <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 84:20) dated January 4, 1984, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember Mercer, <br />directing staff to immediately commence negotiations with the developer and property <br />owner for an annexation agreement and to prepare a formal resolution requesting the <br />annexation and an application to LAFCO. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Mercer, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Butler <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> <br />Street Naming and Addressing Procedures <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (IR 84:07) dated January 5, 1984, regarding <br />this matter for the information of the Council. No action was required or taken <br />by Council on this item. <br /> <br />Minutes from Staff Traffic Committee Meeting of December 20~ 19.83 <br /> Mr. Warnick presented his report (IR 84:06) dated January 5, 1984, regarding this <br />matter for the information of the Council. <br /> <br /> Mayor Butler stated there still seems to be a problem at the Main Street merge <br />on Sunol Boulevard. Mr. Warnick stated he has reviewed this situation but feels that <br />a lot of money should not be expended at this time as major changes will soon be made <br />at this location with the Bernal Avenue improvements. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Wood advised that Roger McLain had personally painted the curb red <br />on Valley Avenue in front of Harvest Park School between the two driveways.
