Brown Act: Seriatim Meetings <br /> Mr. MacDonald presented his memorandum dated June 17, 1985, regarding this <br /> matter. <br /> <br />~=l After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br /> Councilmember Mohr, directing the City Attorney to work with the League of <br />LC) california cities to obtain corrective legislation regarding Seriatim Meetings <br />Ill as it relates to the Brown Act. <br />m The roll call vote was as follows: <br />~ AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> COMMUNICATIONS <br /> There were no Communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL CALENDAR <br /> Mr. Walker presented the City Council Calendar for the information of the <br /> Council. <br /> <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Mayor Mercer recessed the meeting to an Executive Session at 9:25 p.m., to <br /> discuss pending litigation and personnel. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer reconvened the meeting at 9:55 p.m. <br /> <br /> City Manager's Salary <br /> Councilmember Brandes requested that the City Manager's salary be in- <br /> creased to $6,200.00. He stated this adjustment would bring Mr. Walker's com- <br /> pensation in line with the compensation paid other city managers in the bay <br /> area of comparable size. The City Council had in part approved similar com- <br /> pensation guidelines for the management staff as well as the employee bargain- <br /> ing groups and that it was appropriate to now bring the City Manager's compen- <br /> sation to the same status. It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and secon- <br /> ded by Councilmember Wood, that Resolution No. 85-308, approving the City Man- <br /> ager's monthly compensation, including the employee portion of PERS, be set at <br /> $6,200.00, effective May 13, 1985, be adopted. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> ADJOURMENT <br /> There being no further business at 10:00 p.m., it was moved by Councilmem- <br /> ber Wood, and seconded by Councilmember Brandes, that the meeting be adjourned <br /> to meet again in Regular Session on July 2, 1985, 8:00 p.m., in the Pleasanton <br /> Council Chambers. <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br /> ~ R.
