No action was required or taken by Council on the item. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER (Contd.) <br />Appeal of Dean Wagerman Regarding Address Assignments at Deer Oaks Subdivision <br />(Contd. from 2-26-85) <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report (SR 85:84) dated February 26, 1985, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Dean Wagerman, appellant, stated the Deer Oaks Subdivision is a unique area <br />and he felt there should be some flexibility as to address assignments. He stated the <br />change would not hamper the post office, police and fire departments, or emergency <br />equipment. He advised that residents and developers in the area are supportive of the <br />proposed change. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Council- <br />member Butler, that the appeal of Dean Wagerman regarding address assignments at Deer <br />Oaks Subdivision, be denied. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, and Wood <br />NOES: Councilmember Brandes and Mayor Mercer <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report on Tree Removal Request from Mrs. Lillie Fiorio <br />Mr. Warnick presented his report (SR 85:115) dated March 12, 1985, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Council- <br />member Butler, that Resolution No. 85-131, approving the request of Mrs. Lillie Fiorio <br />for removal of two Modesto Ash trees from in front of her house at 323 Rose Avenue, be <br />adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, and Mohr <br />NOES: Councilmember Wood and Mayor Mercer <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Vineyard Avenue/Vintage Hills Circulation and Land Use Study <br /> This item was considered as item 8e on the agenda. <br /> <br />Report on Downtown Pleasanton Improvement District <br /> Mr. Walker presented his report (SR 85:127) dated March 12, 1985, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Montez Thaiman, 2076 Catalon Court, and Express Liquors, representing a large <br />number of the small business owners in Downtown Pleasanton, stated that the majority <br />of these people are opposed to the Pleasanton Downtown Tax Assessment District and <br />would like to have it disestablished.
