The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember Brandes MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMDIBERS Appointment of Alternate Member on Park and Recreation Commission Mayor Mercer stated that candidates for consideration as alternate member on the Park and Recreation Commission had been interviewed earlier this evening, and it was now in order to make this appointment. It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by Councilmember Wood, that Resolution No. 85-102, appointing A. Ryan McKeon, Jr., as alternate member on the Park and Recreation Commission, to fill the unexpired term of Lance Ruckteschler, said term to expire February 15, 1987, be adopted. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, Wood, and Mayor Mercer NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember Brandes Councilmember Butler advised that the LAVWMA Board unanimously approved the LA~.~ pipeline expansionof 4.4 MGD, at their meeting of February 25, 1985. Councilmember Mohr stated that the Joint Powers Agreement establishing a local valley-wide transit system will come before Council at the meeting of March 12, 1985. She asked if Councilmembers had any comments at this time regarding the issue. There were no comments made by any Councilmembers. Councilmember Wood commended Council and staff regarding the soundwall and landscaping on Valley Avenue. CITY COUNCIL COmmITTEE REPORTS There were no City Council Committee Reports presented at this meeting. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Ms. Judith Mayhew, Photo Plant, 610 Main Street, and President of the Pleasanton Downtown Association, presented a letter from the Downtown Association dated February 19, 1985, in resDonse to discussion of the downtown improvement district at the Council meeting of February 12, 1985. Council advised this matter will be on the March 12, 1985 agenda for further consideration. PUBLIC HEARINGS RZ-85-2, Application of the City of Pleasanton to rezone an approximately six acre area composed of all properties located on the north and south sides of St. Mary Street and the north side of Division Street between Peters Avenue and the Western Pacific Railroad r~ght-of-way from the R-1-6500 (Single-family Residential) District to the KM-1500 (Multiple-family Residential) District or to any other zoning dis- trict consistent with the General Plan 4. 2/26/85
